Mr. Joseph Agyiri is Agribusiness Development and Quality Assurance Training Consultant. He has nine (9) years intensive working experience with farmers in developing Postharvest and Quality Infrastructure Systems for medicinals, spices and specialty vegetables across West Africa.
Mr. Agyiri has had intensive training at CBI, Netherlands and ASNAPP South Africa on greenhouse crop production and specialty fresh market vegetable crops and herbs. During his training, he experienced the construction of several greenhouses from very low technology greenhouse systems to quite sophisticated greenhouse structure. He has also undergone short course in strengthening farmer organizations and post-handling in the Netherlands. He has also experience on HACCP both in Ghana and South Africa. Joseph has had hands-on training on Pack-house management with Agri-Impact in Ghana.
He has been involved in several high value horticultural initiatives in Ghana and Liberia. He just successfully executed the sustainable collection of wild natural plant products and commercial cultivation of Spices for the local and export markets, an ARD/USAID initiative.
Joseph holds MSc. Environmental Science and a BSc.(Hons) Biological Sciences from KNUST. He is currently the Agri-Business Manager as well as the Pack-house Manager for Agri-impact consult on West Africa Hydroponics project.
